Would love to know the brand history of the sophisticated and fashionable high brand “Gucci”!

Gucci is considered to be one of the original fashion brands in the world.

Founder Guccio Gucci was born in Florence, Italy, in 1881.He eventually worked as an engineer's assistant on a steamship and moved to England, where he took a job at London's most exclusive Savoy Hotel. There, he came into contact with royalty and aristocracy and naturally learned about their values. This experience was instrumental in the creation of Gucci products.

Guccio returned to his hometown of Florence in 1901, but was drafted into the army during World War I. After the war, he returned to his hometown. After the war, he went back to his hometown and opened a bag factory in 1921, which he named "Gucci" a year later.

In the early days of the company, Gucci dealt primarily in artisanal leather goods, but with the outbreak of World War II in 1939, the production of leather goods began to be controlled.

So, the substitute for this period was a coated campus fabric. Fortunately, the product's color scheme became highly popular.

In 1947, the "Bamboo Handle Handbag" was introduced.

The handle was made of bamboo as Italy was experiencing a shortage of cowhide due to post-war economic controls.

This, too, becomes a huge hit, later becoming an iconic Gucci product.

Despite these influences, Gucci overcame the challenges and gradually grew into a popular brand.

By the 1960s, Gucci had opened stores in major cities around the world, including Paris and London, and actresses such as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly wore Gucci products, making the brand synonymous with chic Hollywood style.

At the end of the 1960s, the "GG" mark, the origin of the current Gucci Monogram, was adopted. It was designed after the initials of its founder, Guccio Gucci.

In the 1970s, the company opened stores in Hong Kong and Tokyo. The number of stores increased to 500 and the brand grew to become a global brand.

It is Gucci that a lot of people are patronizing even now. It can be said to be a fashion brand with full of power that has overcome various phases in its long history.
